99 STS New rear brakes Horn Noise now apparent!
I just recently did all my brakes same time, my backs i put new brembo rotors.. non slotted or slanted just plain. and OEM AC Delco pads. I now hear on the drivers rear a loud deep horn type noise when i brake, and it looks like only when the braking system warms up. no shimmys or shakes or signs of warrped rotor i dont think. other side did it for like few days and has stoped. I can say i did this job about year half ago where i cut original rotors and replaced with delco pads and i had same noise on both sides for a few months! then went away. its been about month now and only drivers side does it when warm. any body heard of this or had this happen. like a deep groaning horn noise
Thanks
Thanks
just wanted to update, the noise has gone away as i sort of thought. i checked to see if it was a clip, didnt look like it. i waited it out and been fine for about 2 weeks now. if anyone has this problem later on it may just be the new rotor surface getting used to the new pad. meaning maybe it didnt have enough "new pad film" built up on the rotor yet.

the pads tend to be shattering (sound) while they are breaking in.
it is not that unusual. the fix is usually to be harsh on a set of new pads for the 1st 100 miles or so.
