1992 cadillac deville tranny slipping

E40 relates to P/S switch, should not cause you problem. I suggest to check vacuum to modulator, with hose off throttle body when engine running port should whistle, many times T/Body ports can carbon up causing a delayed or weak signal to modulator causing slipping. Also take exhaust loose from y pipe to check for restricted cat.conv. on drive car. MAKE SURE IT WONT FALL DOWN AND HIT ROADWAY. Post what you find.

dropped it off at my mechanics shop today. We will see how it goes tomorrow.

k here is what the mechanic said. I have dirty fuel injectors.
I'm going to try a fuel injector additive in the gas tank and take it from their.
I still get E40...EE40 I have replaced the PSP switch. I'll have to look for other stuff on the power steering.
Until then....I'll keep posting my findings.
