We just recently installed an aftermarket stereo. Now we were wanting to install some subwoofers. The installer tells us the only we he can do it in this car is to split the power source from the original speaker's amp, and that this could result in the cars electrical system malfunctioning, and that it would be very difficult to repair such a malfunction. However I have doubt that this is the only way to install subwoofers, for I have seen many cars of the same model and year with many sound customizations, subs being among them.
Is there a method that the installer is missing? If so could someone please explain to me so that I may pass it along to him, and see if he is able?
And please be broad in your explanation, I am no pro.
