My 1956 sedan devill arrives sat!
I've driven some beasts in my day
But 8.25 mpg wanting improvement.
Car is equipped with pectronic distributor
None points.perhaps flame tosser coil
Thinking throttle body injection?
I do intend to cover some miles,
Not just polish her.
Any thoughts or luck with this?

 

8 mpg is pretty bad compared to what we see today. Going to EFI would definitely help. It still won't be spectacular but I think you could get in to the mid teens. It will take an overdrive to get to 20 or more highway.
