1955 2x4 air cleaner... help!!!
Hello, I bought a 55 coupe DeVille with 2x4 complete set-up. Car had been in storage 30 years, By the time I got it home and opened the hood one of the air cleaner bowls that hang below the tips of wings, down next to valve covers was gone. I think it must have been loose and fell off. It was there initially. Does anyone know where I can get one? This is devastating to me because it was completely intact like a time capsule. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks
Have you tried Chevelle Parts, El Camino Parts | OPGI.com They have a fair amount of old stuff.
Boy, that is really a bummer! Good luck on finding a replacement. Those air cleaners, when they may be had, go for a very pretty penny! I can not imagine anyone with a complete unit willing to sell only the oil reservoir.
Well, I was wondering if anyone out there would know if there is any other GM model that might have used the same bowl???? Back in those years they really didn't vary much. I saw one off a 50's GMC very similar but not the right size. OR is anyone capable of reproducing this? Thanks
