01 Seville sls speed sensor not getting a signal
Hey I'm new here ! I just bought an 01 seville sls with 105k miles. The car runs great but I have been having trouble with my transmission. The car had a code for the input speed sensor. I replaced both the ISS , VSS and VSS connector but the speedometer is still unresponsive and the car is still shifting slightly later then it should. The car isn't throwing any codes now, but there is no signal to the VSS. I was told that the computer may be going bad ? I'd really apreciate any help or information

Need a scanner for this one. It could be cluster also need to see what pcm is seeing. No P codes normally mean computer getting data IPC codes? any U codes? any mods including non oem radio?

Sorry for the late response! Everything is stock on the car, i had it scanned and the only code that shows up was a pcm code "p0502" . I noticed that after driving the car around the block a few times, it would shift from park to reverse and from reverse to drive noticeably hard but Once you clear the P0502 code from the OBD it would stop until drive again. I'm questioning if there is a problem with the VSS wiring or is the computer just not sending a strong signal ?

On some occasions wear can occur effecting right output shaft. The output shaft will move too far away from VSS for a strong signal. What kind of vehicle speed reading did you get when car driven with scanner?
