Hey, a while back i once saw on a Caddy forum a guy had installed a "rear strut tower brace" in the trunk. I currently have one under the hood on my 99sts, but wanted to install one for the rear towers. Anyone who reads this please post any info you have about this rear strut tower brace.....I seen it done and know its possible. I ordered my front brace from caddy, do they sell rear as well? I think it would be a nice addition to tighten up the car. It would be boxed off. Front tower brace with lower sway bar...rear tower brace, with lower sway bar = little more handling capabilaties =) thans mn

 

As ridged as the 98-04 was made it unlikely to change handling. The re-design for 98 many features of the Aurora platform (the most ridged platform, regardless of manufacture, of the time) were incorporated. Shock is does not have the roll of supporting rear of vehicle. If you are over driving stock suspension; I would suggest altering spring rates and installing firmer type bushings in the control arms. Shocks / struts will require electric suspension to be inop, I am not sure what you will gain with "passive absorbers".
