I just got my 2007 CTS last Monday and someone backed into the front bumper yesterday (1 week later). We are going to have to replace the bumper and I wanted to know what the difference is between an aftermarket bumper and original equipment bumper (besides +$300.00). Anyone had any experience with the differences?

 

After market bumper you can sat it used bumper is a medium condition but not of good quality.These bumpers are used for some time only and then again you have to replace it with new one in about 2 to 3 months.So i advise you to take a fresh for your car.

 

With oem youll have no fitment problems.

With aftermarket the parts do not line up 100% but its still pretty good fitment considering manfactureres are getting very good at the accuracy of the fitments.

I would go with aftermarket for your car since it is an 07. The aftermarket bump will cost around $80-$70 and to get it painted would be another $250. Total is $320, the price of a oem bumper that is not painted.
