zinzin,

a very Happy 54th birthday to you ...

here are 54 candles for you plus with an extra one for good luck

My Dear Wife,

You will certainly understand that I have certain needs that your 50 year old body can no
longer satisfy.

However, I am very happy with you and I value you as a good wife.
Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope you will not wrongly interpret the fact I will be
spending the evening with my 18 year old secretary at the "Comfort Inn Hotel."
I will be thinking of no one else but you, while she takes care of business.

Please don't be perturbed, I shall be back home before midnight.

=========

When the husband came home, he found the following note on the dining room table:

=========

My Dear Husband,

I received your letter and thank you for your honesty.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you are 54 years old.

At the same time I would like to inform you that while you are reading this,
I will be at the "Hotel Fiesta" with Michael, my personal trainer, who like your secretary
is also 18 years old. I cannot promse that i will be thinking at all, as i expect to pass out
from the high level of activity - remember, personal trainer?

As a successful businessman and with your excellent knowledge of math, you will understand
that we are in the same situation, although with one small difference: 18 goes into 54 a lot more
times than 54 goes into 18. Therefore, I will not be back until tomorrow!

I will be at the "Hotel Fiesta" with Michael, my personal trainer, who like your secretary
is also 20 years old. I cannot promse thatI will be thinking at all, asI expect to pass out

OH, the things we are unsuccessful in avoiding. Funny thing, she's been around for fifty five of them and countless "toys" (and I'm speaking of cars, boats and airplanes!)
Appreciate the thought. Thank you.

Yes I know, but it seems to me I sort of remember (even though I have a touch of the "mad cow disease) someone else here has a May 30th birthday. Perhaps "gary?" And have you noticed that even though May 30th is on a Friday this year, these dolts in Washington are still celebrating Memorial day on Monday the 26th?
I tell you that you start feeling the years when you attend your youngest Grandaughters college graduation as we did this past Saturday! (Andwe had a celebration dinner after, at "Ken's Steak House" In Framingham Ma. where my wife and I had our "engagement dinner" 57 years ago.) In "51," the "ken's special sirloin" was $3.25. Saturday, it was $24.00.
Believe me,,,,, the years continue to "fly by." (And yet we have to say, "Ain't life grand")
(OH, sorry Gary, the wife's still planning on burying me in the Allante, Had to purchase a second "plot.")

going by the chart, income went up 12X ...
that steak should now cost
$3.35 x 12 = $37.44

buying STEAK is a better deal today than in 1951 .. it costs about 35% ($24 vs 37) less ( in adjusted dollars) today than 57 years ago. Maybe "Ken" has not kept up the menu prices? Let him know .. if it is a good place to eat, you dont want him filing BK when he finds out he is losing money and its too late to fix it.
