Default Canceling an Extended Warranty

Has anyone cancelled their extended warranty and been told that you have to go to your state's Taxation Department to get part of the refund? This is what I was told and I find it absolutely ridiculous. If anyone has been through this, I would greatly appreciate some advice.

Thanks

What "mickey-mouse" state Kristy? I cancelled my warranty at it's "half-life" and was refunded just about 50% of the premium. Have to admit the check was three months in coming.

kristi.amy...... it sounds like a stall..... did they cancel the warranty? make sure that is done NOW.......you'll need the true miles at that time...... what they probly meant, to get your tax back, to go there......give the tax up!......get the warranty cancelled NOW..... dealer has to repay pro rate profit, and they do not like to give that up....... what warranty company is it?................again skip the tax, and cancel the warranty....
