Default 2008 "BULLITT"

How about this! Ford is hitting the streets Jan first with 7,000 new Mustang models With "BULLITT" medalions on them. Can you believe it's been forty years since we saw Steve McQueen flying over the hills in San Francisco?
The new "limited model" will be two door coupes with racing suspension, horsepower increased from 300 mto 315, a tuned exhaust so pleasing to the ears that the car got "thumbs up" from every one passed during the week of testing in S.F. The critic liked the sound so much the radio remained off for the week of testing.
Zero to sixty times in 1968 with McQueens model were 7.1 seconds. The new model does it in 5.1.
Don't know what colors will be offered but I think it would be a sin not to paint them all green. They all will come with black grills
My thumb is "ready."
(Of course, my wife says "I am still a kid.")

The BULLITs were at the LA Auto Show in L.A. .. along with the Shelby .. I was more surprised to see the Shelby after all the law suits between Shelby and Ford in past years.

This year was the first year of many years attending car shows that I came out wanting more than one or two of the new models, in fact, temptation was out of control for awhile .. I wanted more than 5 or 6 this time.

To name a handful: Viper, Bentley, Mustang Shelby, Mustang Bullit, CTS-4, STS-V, Mini Cooper Wagon, and others that i wont mention since the posted price tags are in the six or SEVEN figures.

I bet you can find the '08 Bullit at your nearest auto show and at least sit in it, if you dare.
My bro and I used to run around on a '68 Stang Fastback - 289 ci - and the '68 Norton .. the Stang died on a 50 ft jump/leap .. I will see if i can find a pic of that wreck.

you have seen this ?

I also heard in a newspaper that it's dark green or black are the optional colors.

zinzin,

i agree .. antyhing else but Green, will simply not feel the same.
The "Highland Green" was Steve McQueens Mustang GT from the movie Bullit.
The engine, a 390 ci, I beleive.

And you know I love BLACK cars.
