Default 3.6 engine stretched chains

I left Cadillac in 2010 and we were always replacing cam chains on the 3.6 engines both direct injected and port injected.

They were to be corrected finally by 2010.

Does anyone know if they ever fixed the chain problem?

Thanks!

That makes sense as they always came in 3 quarts low on oil. The customers never checked their oil.

They would come in with complaints of poor engine performance with crank/cam code.

I was putting 3000 mile l.o.f. stickers on the windshield because the oil change reminder wouldn`t come on until about 7500 miles. Using mobile one only made the oil consumption worse.

Thanks for the info.
