Hello All, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has replaced an alternator on a 2002 Eldorado? If so how is that done?

Hi there & welcome. I am new here as well but not new to Cadillac’s, so I will chime in on your question. If you have access to a lift you can get to it from under the car at the passenger side. First you should disconnect the battery, remove the accessory belt by pulling up on the tensioner & the rest will be some debolting & dewiring. If you try to go at it from the top you will need to remove the battery coolant expansion tank & maybe the power steering pump. Buy a factory service manual (FSM) on Ebay.....you’re going to need it!
