The One Million miles Cadillac thread .. or trying to get there ...
I have a '92 Deville with over 260,000 on it. I am the second owner. It belonged to an auto mechanic. I've had it for two years. New water pump and Rad only. Still going great, but need to replace ISC motor. What a cruzer!
I've had more cars -- and trucks -- than I care to count and turned a wrench on all but one of them. My introduction to shade trees and wrenches came at a very early age.
I've had a few Fords -- not to disparage Fords, but I never had luck with them. They didn't like me -- but those cars never lasted. i.e. The engine blew three freeze plugs in an old Ford Wagon with a big block engine. In the time it took to stop the car at highway speeds, the engine seized.
I've worked on many a Caddy and generally swore that, while I'd always buy GM, I'd never buy a Caddy. The early -- read 1960's to 1970's -- electrical and eventually electronic headaches were more than I wanted. Yet I've had Oldsmobiles. Yeah, I know, Caddies in another guise.
So, of course I finally need a car, don' have a lot of cash and here's a 1993 Sedan Deville that runs nice, has almost no problems and blemishes with the interior and has a bit of get up and go....
Sigh.... I own a Caddy. Well, what can I say? Hope it proves to be like my other GM products. For 178K plus, it sounds nice. Now if I can find someone to do a good scuff and shoot for a reasonable price.

My mother-in-law bought new in 1996 and I am now the third owner of this car. The mileage rolled to 365,000 December 28, 2016. Car has some cosmetic damage where a deer tried to jump over it and then there is an occasional vibration when you try to accelerate in a pull, but other than that. It is a car my husband can work on and she rides like a dream. Going to start repairing the cosmetic damage this year. You can't go wrong with a caddi.
