Default Not a newbie, lost info but looking for answers

I have not been on this site in a while, as my SRX has been terrific, no problem, issues and what not. Until this friday. Over the past few days, I noticed my car sounded louder and slugish, then on friday morning, it got real bad, as I hit the gas the SRX stumbled badly, coughed and the check engine light went on. I called the dealer (North Bay) and Barry (my rep) immediately told me to bring the SRX in and they would take a look right away.
Turns out the Catalytic converter collapsed, anybody else heard or had this problem. I was surpised to find out they had the parts, and would try and get me car back by the end of the day (considering I brought it in at 10:30am). Well they were not able to get it done, no big deal , they gave me a loaner and I expect it back on Monday.
Anyway, I am just curious if others have had this problem. My SRX is an 05 with V6, with everything but NAV (I dont like GM's product) and the V8.

I have been having similar problems with my SRX. My check engine light will come on or flash. When I get around 40mph it acts like it wants to stall a little. Just feels werid when I get around 40. How much did it cost you to have your fixed.
