I bought a 1996 STS a couple months ago. It is cherry! From a distance it looks brand-new. It was owned by an elderly couple who no longer drive and a son who did not want to mess with it. I got it for $700.
Now the bad. It will not smog and it overheats. I have a mechanic who will fix it for $800 plus parts. He will have to remove the engine and do a head gasket job. He estimated $500 to $600 in parts. $2,300 for an immaculate STS I am happy with that.
Now my wife has lost the key.
And that is for another thread.
