Default New here, too

Howdy, folks...

I'm new here, and I just bought a 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville. My Caddy overheats at any speed over 75MPH, so I'm afraid it has a bad head gasket. I will test the coolant for exhaust gases ASAP. I need to flush the coolant system anyway, because I had to add some red coolant to the green coolant that was already in the system.

I bought the car be use it was in very good condition, and I really like the Caddys of this generation. I read up on the car when I saw it was for sale, and realized that I would buying a finicky, high-strung thoroughbred. But I am sure if I treat my Caddy right, it won't break my heart or my bank.

I am curious, tho...if the car has a bad head gasket, how much longer can I drive it, even if I drive under 75MPH?
