Default Digital Readings

Greetings I'm a new member and look forward exchanging info with you. I have a 1989 Fleetwood and the Climate Control is not working. The trouble started a couple days ago when I turned the ignition switch on and the blower fan came on full blast and would not go off. I had to unplug the hot wire under the hood to cut it off. Then the letter "d" appeared on the read out screen for a minute or two. Then the letter "c" appeared and has not gone away. I have no control of the climate control functions. Some one told me the "c" indicates loss of communication of either the ECM or BCM. That doesn't tell a shade tree like me anything. Does anyone know what needs to be replaced to fix it.Thanks for any assistance. Cary

See if you can get codes. c means clock and d means data. Problem usually centers around fuel data panel, a/c control head, or bcm. A factory service manual would be very helpfull.

Hey 158: I'd start with the power module first, then if that's not the fix then I would suspect the programmer. Both pricy items new but you could try wreckers.

Thanks for the advice. I have a Auto parts manual but it doesn't cove these codes. I will try a factory manual.
