CTS-V - Shifter knob removal

Does anyone have any advice on a CTS-V shifter knob that is very difficult to remove? Thanks

Check in the front of the shifter. Side closest to dashboard. There should be a clip that you can push in.

I have found this on other caddy models, let me know how you make out.
