Default won't crank

I am new to this forum and recently bought a 92 Cadillac Deville. I have an intermittent starting problem. It will sometimes start and then sometimes it won't start(crank over). My security light stays on while cranking and I have tried my spare key. The battery and connections are clean and tight. Sometimes idf I watit about 5-10 mins it will start. Does this sound like a VATS problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes,If keys are in good condition, most likely one of wires from igntion cylinder to base of column is broken. Hope it helps

If the security system is the issue will the starter click when you try to turn it over? Thats the issue I am currently dealing with. I have already replaced the starter and it worked for about a week but now when i turn the key the starter just clicks and wont try to turn over. Could that be a security problem?
