I have a 2003 SLS and the voltage has always been pretty steady at about 14.5 volts. It didn't matter if I had my lights on, a/c on or anything else. All of a sudden, now it fluctuates any where from 12.3 to 14.7volts. The car always says volts ok, just it never fluctuated like that before. Is this a sign that my alternator is going bad?

 

check your battery connections under the seat. to be sure they are not corroded, if not check the ground on the alternator, if o.k. replace the alternator
