Default Technological changes, '94-'99

I just picked up a fair-condition '94 SLS today, after having bought a '99 STS for my wife Thursday(she can't have all the fun.) Yeah, I wanted an STS too, but this one was for sale on craigslist for $1500 needing a steering rack, so I bought it for $1100 and drove it home today w/no power steering.

I couldn't believe how nice the '99 is in comparison to the '94. I figured there'd be some differences, but that '94 reminded me of an '86 Buick Skylark Limited we owned back in the '90's. The switchgear, sound system, finish of the interior materials, etc. are typical '80's GM cheap-looking stuff. The '99 seems a lot more refined.

Maybe I need me some dubs. Yeah, some 20's would make that old '94 pop. (just kidding) It needs a muffler, so maybe when I quiet it down it'll seem more like a Cadillac.

The 92 - 97 eldo/seville was major and popular redesign after the 86-91 models which intially poorly received. The 98-04 seville was a refinement of the previous car, most of the improvements being unseen,it was a little shorter and the unibody more rigid.
