STARTING PROBLEMS!!!!!!
I have a 1993 Cadillac Eldorado and it has a hard time starting... I took the altenator in to be tested and it was fine, so I then put in another battery thinking thatcould be it, and nope it didnt work....so I jumped the battery and started the car and it runs fine untilI turn it off and then go to start it again, no luck. So i'm stumped.....I was told maybe its the starter or my battery cable is bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

RE: STARTING PROBLEMS!!!!!!
Which engine 4.9 or 4.6? Check previous posts; including FAQ, tech, Seville,STS, and Deville the info you seek is likely there. If you do what has posted already and can't find the answer repond to this post. And be able to answer questions, and the techs will try to help you.

ORIGINAL: slowroll
The engine is the 4.9 liter, I just cleaned the terminals andit still fires up while there's a jump on it but the time I take off the jumper cables and turn it off, and then try to restart, it acts like the battery is dead. I was told that it could be the battery cables thatare bad (all three wires that connect to the positivebattery terminal) and its not allowing the battery to be charged by the altenator and not a good connection to the starter. The alternator checks out good when tested by Autozone. So maybe its the starter, battery or battery cable, I'll be sure to check those previous post and try to find info on this matter. But thanks guys I appreciate the help. Any more knowledge will be greatly appreciated.
