Spark Plugs
I want to check out my spark plugs on my Northstar, I just need to know what to look for as far as if they are still good or bad. I know there are 100K mile intervals and I have 83K on my '94 so I want to see if they are still good. Most importantly, am I gonna get shocked, electrocuted, fried, and killed doing this??? HAHA Just wanna be sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! =]

advice?
1. turn off engine before working on plugs,
2. if you choose to not follow #1, dont stand in a water poddle
or barefoot on cement.
ahhh ahhh
----------
ok .. seriously, WHY?
if the car runs fine and the mpg is steady, skip it.
but, since you want to do it and its your car:
when i pull plugs they dont go back in. i put in NEW PLUGS.
best way to check them is to track your mpg ... the chances of creating an
expensive problem if you dont know what you are doing are great.
to pull plugs you need to make sure it is CLEAN around the plug
or the crap will go into the chamber - drop something solid and you
are looking at a damaged valve or piston when you start the engine,
drop sand or grit andyou are looking at damaged rings and sleeves ...
you have to know how to pull the wires and not damage them,
you have to know how to re-install and torque and NOT STRIP the threads,
however, my 13 year old can do it, you just have to know how.
advice: use a tiny bit of anti-seize on PLUG treads, grease the wire boot (dieletric grease)
lol, lots of lol

I have been having some hesitation problems. EXAMPLE: Merging onto the highway, or stepping on the gas hard at a stop sign, also at times when passing another car. I was told it could be the spark plugs and I should check them. However, I have never done this before and so I asked for some advice. Thanks!
it doesn't sound like plugs to me.
i be changing the fuel filter and air filter tonight.
then i be checking primary wires, timing, distributor compnents .. long before i yank out plugs.
some cars you can also test the injectors from your seat.
this owner had similar issues:
