Bad static, popping noise from all speakers in Delco Symphony Sound radio, 90 Seville. Seems to be a common problem with these radios. I want to keep it stock but wonder how much sense it makes to get another used one if they all tend to develop this problem. Seems to be improved by heat... works much better when the inside of the car is hot, like after sitting in the sun. Very bad in the morning when car is cool. Does anybody have any knowledge to share about this? What solutions have you guys come up with?

 

Sounds like amp in one of the speakers on its way out. You could check the connections to the speakers. If one speaker seems to be worse than the others - look there 1st, however since it's 19 year old system - if 1 amp is failing the others are likely to fail soon.
