p0106, 2001 sls stalls after startup.
I have a 2001 SLS that, out of the blue, wouldn't stay running after starting it up. I've never had an intermittent problem with it before. It starts up like normal but just won't idle, it immediately stalls. I ran the codes and only come up with P0106 which is for the MAP sensor. connector for MAP seems fine, checked the MAF as well, it was clean and fine. Wondering what might cause this short of a faulty MAP. Since the car wont run I can't take it to a shop to properly diagnose it with a scan tool. Not tying to just throw a new MAP at it before hearing some options.

Yes slowroll, apparently i forgot to add that part, it will run if I hold the accelerator down. I could technically still drive it, it would just be very difficult bumping into neutral before stopping while simultaneously braking and keeping the engine rev'd to avoid the idle stall.

Fixed!
I know EXACTLY what the cause is! It is a dirty or damaged Idle Speed Control unit. I have a 2002 Deville, and it had the same issue. My brother and I pulled the part out (very easy to remove), cleaned it off, replaced it, and no more issues!

I have 2002 STS, 168k on it, 2 years ago got new MAF Sensor, last couple of months started having issues with it dying at starting and wont idle or after it is driven it will not idle after being started. Will stay running fine if I keep pressure on gas and let it idle like that, but once I take my foot off of gas it dies. I am getting codes PCM P0102 and P0106. I just today replaces the Plenum seal (old one looked fine) and a new MAP sensor. Cleared codes and car still wont idle and I still get the 0106 and 0102 (forgot to say before I replaces the MAP, I go the P1107 code too, but not after replacing MAP sensor) Now I find it may be the CrankShaft position sensor, though I have never gotten a code, and in this tread it says to clean the idle speed control unit. I am tired of putting money into it I need the car to run, or run so I can sell it. Lots of $$$$$ 2 years ago and I hate to get rid of it but am tired of working on it as well. Any suggestions? thanks

Duh?
So I figured out what it was, after I put everything back together I forgot to plug the MAF back in, dumb **** me. But, now I am getting the P0410 code, which I had gotten before and it is doing the same stalling and wont idle, but get it out and drive and it is fine. So looks like I need a new air pump and I am going to clean the Idle Speed Control module too.
