Northstar info
Hey guys,
Well I have a quick question for ya. Are there any RWD GM Tranny's that will bolt up at a Northstar?
And does anyone know the going rate of a Northstar in a junkyard?
Incase anyone is curious, I was planning on dropping an LS1 into a 95 S-10 but my brother quickly changed my mind and made me concider the 4.6 rather then the 5.7. It's a great idea IMO, smaller, less weight and more power.
Lemme know what you guys think.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Nick

Check out this outfit [usual disclaimer: don't know them, haven't had contact with them]:

...or, get the whole enchilada out of a new(er) STS, XLR or SRX (these darn three-letter nonsenses!)

seen 4600 N*'s between $600 and $3,000
no reason or logic between the price difference.
year made or mileage? maybe.
suggest that if you get your hands on a early one,
change out the headgaskets while on the bench.
regardless of year modles, they seem to go and go and go,
with 300,000 ot 400,000 miles being reported if the engine
avoided the headgasket/coolant death.
