Hi, Guys im new to this forum and am wondering if any one has any info to help me?? My problem is I have no heat or air, But only on occasion? Lately it seems (85% of the time) on start up nothing, but after abougth 15-20 min of driving it will come on and the a/c and heat will work great. But once you turn the car off the same crap???? I dont think it is a blower motor and i checked all fuses and relays so im at a loss any help would be great and appreciated Thanks Chris

by no heat or a/c do you mean that it will not blow any air? If not probably a blower motor. I have replaced a few in my career

Yes it will not blow any air/ or heat. My guess would of also been a blower motor but with it being so eradic i would have to say the blower motor is not the issue hear

First start by checking all your ground connections, then move on to all your electrical connections. You will have to remove the grounding connections and clean the and then replace. The use of a dieelectric grease is highly recommended. What is your location?? do you have a lot of humidity where you live?? When you switch to Air does the compressor spin or does it stay idle? Could also be the heater turn on switch or the ambient sensor.

Please have you tried a blower motor yet? Have you unplugged the blower motor and checked to be sure the terminals are tight in the connector? Check for power and ground at the blower motor connector when it is not working..

I am having the same problem with my 1998 CADILLAC STS. The only difference is that I can hear the blower motor turn on and blow hard when I turn the fan up but no air will come through and into the car anywhere. No air will come out of any outlet. I'm frustrated as I bought this car a few days ago and it was working fine then.

Any ideas? Could it be a flap that is stuck closed - how does one go about fixing it?

Probably the mode door actuator is at fault....not a fun fix if you are green
