hey guys, i wanted to replace my current grillwitha new one. Ive only seen the chrome/ gold grill that has the metal slates covering the entire grill. I wanted to get a mesh grill though not the one with like the chrome lines, if u know what i mean its kind of hard to explain. But for a89' Fleetwood its all ive seen. Does anybody know somewhere that makes custom fit mesh grill for fleetwoods? Kind of what on the CTS models i believe.

 

there are plenty of stores where to find gm accessories like grilles. really depends on the budget you have. have you check some local parts stores or ebay perhaps?

 

I don't know how good you are with tools but I think you can probably make up one that would be pretty good. You need to make a template out of cardboard. I think that the mesh that is used for ceramic tile is a good choice, it is stainless and it is very bright. I think that is the look you want. You can basically cut the mesh to fit over your present grille and sort out some system to attach it.

It is dark right now but I will post a pic of the grille I made for $14 for my GMC Suburban tomorrow. It looks like OEM. The standard grille was black now mine is chrome and looks like a $250 after market piece only better because I maintain the GMC logo.

So here is the result of my $14 at the auto supply store. Original grille was black and now it is chrome. If you take your time you can do a good job. Sometimes I think I will change it back to black but my point here is you can make one up yourself.

that isa nice grille Katzmans,you can also get the cadillac version too. as for making your own grill i think its better if you do that way its unique . i want a custom grille for mine but ill wait since i just got done fixing mine lol.
