Hello all! I just bought my first ever caddy a wonderful garage kept hardly driven '96 El dorado; only has 97,000 miles. Only had it a week and a half and today my service engine soon light came on. The owners manual said a solid light is emissions control of some sort. I read a couple posts about pulling codes but none addressed a 96 El dorado any help on that would be a great place to start i guess. Thanks in advance for ya'lls help.

 

usually, your oxigen sensor is bad when the check engine light comes on, though could be a couple other things. i am not sure how to pull codes or your eldo, however with this post it will go back up top, so someone might pick it up and will let you know. good luck and welcome to the forum
