Default need lots of help. please!

so i start my emt course tomorrow and the caddy is giving me problems haha. best timer to happen right?

the last few days, the car has been randomly shutting off and not starting back up. i feel the fuel injectors are not working (not clogged, just the electronics arent turning them on) i have pressure at the fuel rail though. and i have spark because when it does that, can be kept idling on starting fluid) i cant really chance the car right now.

and i have another long honeydew-ish list of problems for the car and if you guys can give any input, it would greatly be appreciated.

-the security light flashes when car is off and is constantly on while running (should i bypass vats?) (could it be related to fuel injectors or the furel related problem?)

-my grandfather is going to have to get this bad boy smogged pretty soon (ca emmisions wooohoo :/) so i have a bunch of codes: (some will go between history and current.)

please help me figure out what to do with these. because what the code means doesnt really help allll that much

-P012--------- no distributor signal

-P013--------- right oxygen sensor not ready

-P030--------- ISC rpm out of range

-P053--------- distributor signal interrupt

-P071--------- intermittent MAP signal

-I039---------- loss of road sensing suspension data

-I052---------- keep alive memory error

im sorry to dump all this on you guys but any help would be more than appreciated. thank you all so much for your reading this long thread

the harness / wiring is highly suspicious.

it could be as simple as a lose connector or blown fuses, as serious as a shorted harness to the BCM, or as critical as a failed BCM.

a good visual check would be a great start, followed by checking connectors, and then diagnostics

.

You need a manual, FSM both books are best. E53 is the one to focus on. Poor grounds can cause many problems. I39 is normally tied to a S or R code. Has any work been done prior to this happening?

The obvious is visual corrosion and loose fasteners that hold ground wires. Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM) needed to further test for voltage drop testing. Connect Negitive probe to the most negitive part (battery, engine / transaxle, or frame) positive to what you are testing (terminal, wire, component) meter should read less than .1v. There are books out there than will explain it better than me and have diagrams than help in understanding what / how to test.
