2000 Deville Lots of problems!!!!!Help!!!!!
I have a 2000 sedan deville, when I first got the car I started to have problems right away. The car would idle really rough at stop light or if I was parked and would act like it wanted to cut off. Took it in for diagnostic at a repair shop theysaid the car need the intakes cleaned and the intake gasket replaced and an intake boot, and a fuel system cleanup. Got all these thing done, also put in a new mass air flow sensor. Now as I riding the car will just shut off with no warning while driving sometimes at full speed on the highway. Also sometimes the car while being driven say i'm at a idle speed of about 35mph the car will miss lose total power and then power is totally restored I have no explaination for this either. Today I went to get my son from school car started no problem went in the school and came back out and tried to start the car car would not turn over, when I tried it again the car starting making a clicking noise and kept on clinking until I turned the ignition into the off position. I ran the onboard diagnostic and here are the codes I was given,

Car cutting off there are crank sensor codes stored, good chance replacing them with correct that part. As far the everything went dead check battery and positive cable. It is under rear seat.
Connectors to the crank sensors should be checked, cleaned and if those are OK replacing the sensors be a good step foward as slowroll stated.
I also suspect serious grounding problems. Does anyone know where all the grounds are for this model?
I be cleaning and tightening those grounds asap.
Where is the car? rain wet environment?
Please read the thread, the info you give us will help us help you better.

You want to replace both crank sensors not just 1. Computer is not alway accurate in picking problem sensor, you could replace the wrong one. There shouldn't be much more cost involved beyond cost of sensor.
