Need Detail Info - Replacing '84 CV Axle
My FM is rather cryptic re how to replace 1984 Eldo 4100 passenger side CV axle.
(1) FM says disconnect tie rod and upper ball joint. What about the lower ball joint ? (hang hub assembly to prevent damage to lower ball joint ?)
(2) Any concerns about torsion bar connection ?
(3) FM say loosen axle nut after all the above. I've replaced a number of half axles on other cars and always loosen wheel lug nuts and axle nut/bolt while wheel is on-the-ground. Don't see why not here. (?)
Thanks for any input.

Lacking any input here I obtained a Haynes Manual for my car. Compared to the Factory Manual it has more elaborate instructions together with photos which satisfied my needs.
Only hold-up was that Detroit Axle sent me a 1985 unit which has a different inner CV knukle. Their web site listings for Right Side units as 1980-1985 which is incorrect for 1980-1984 Eldo's which have the special inner CV knuckle with damper. I ordered from Rockauto and received a correct unit. The replacement went well and easier than I expected. Hopefully the replacement will not malfunction in the near future.
