Are my Cooling fans working?

Are my Cooling fans working?
I have an 92 Sedan Devile 4.9 Auto with digistal dash gauges with idiot lights. The other day I drove it about 30 miles and turned it off. I came out in about 15 min and tried to start it and it would not start. The starter engaged the flywheel but did not have enough umph to turn the engine over. I tried several times and it did the same thing. I let it sit another 10 min and finally got it started. Drove it home and popped the hood and noticed that my engine compartment was hot and the radiator fans were not turning. I have had the battery and starter checked and they both checked out ok. I am wondering if the engine is getting extremely hot.
Could someone tell me where the fan relays are? Which wires would I need to jump to make the fans come on? I do not have a schematic so I do not know this info. Any help would be appreciated.

The relay locations should be shown in the owner's manual. I bet they are under the hood somewhere.
I don't have a 92 owner's manual or schematic either, but they might have a service manual in the Kansas city library.
If not try an alldata subscription or pick up a manual from helms.

my guess is that your car has a 'controller' to control the fans .. also, typically the radiator fans will come on if you turn on the A/C, even if the engine is cool.

Check for codes, module monitors fan operation. Cooling fans will come on with a/c provided it works. Fans should come on at 226*F and cut of at about 208*F. Low coolant level can also effect operation.
