Hi this is my 2nd caddie this one is a 1994 convertible I have not driven it yes
as i still have to put my hand controls in it...but at start up u can clearly here
the lifter noise it quiets down but even at idle u can here it I plan on putting in
engine oil treatment forgot the name but i know it works great...i will let u know how the lifter works after i put it in. I was wondering is the northstar have lifter problems does this happen to a lot of these engines...also it has a
oil leak,,,before i get out of my wheelchair to find where this leak is....is there
a certain spot i should be looking.I am happy with the convertible and over all
looks great....but not to happy about having a v8 with front wheel drive...don't
know what caddie was thinking...but its mine so i want do what ever i can to
make this engine work well. Is there a list of things i should be looking at besides change oil and the usual stuff ....the only things so far i see needs work is oil leak...where its at i don't know and the lifter noise...and it has a real bad steering gap i think its bushings its got like 5" gap before it catches,,,,or do they have bad steering problems have any of u had these problems.
