Question I'm confused

I am confused.. My cadillac 1977 deville doesn't have a passenger side mirror.. Neither does it look like one was ever put on the car at the factory!

But i been looking up on google about that car and it seems some have them and some don't?

Does anyone know about this if it's true? If not where can i get a mirror for it?

hey von.... it was probobly an option back then.... now a-days they have to have them.
i'm sure one can be added, though if its a power / remote you will probobly be getting into more work than you want to. on the other hand it is a good thing to keep the car as original as possible

Right outside mirror was an option back then, they did make an accessory kit (Dealer installed option). They did not have electric mirrors back then, remote adjustable mirrors used cables. To find a nice used one will take some searching at the salvage yards, but since your in the northeast corridor your will be lucky to find a 77-80. You may be able to adapt a mirror from a 81-92 Fleetwood Brougham. You will need to make template of where holes are supposed to be in right door.

I have become somewhat of a junk yard dog over the past few months. I spotted a 77-80 4 door deVille in a holding lot for one of yards with right remote mirror. If interested let me know, there is a little bit involved to get everything you need to install it. Have not seen inside of car for condition of trim panels or wood grain moldings.
