Just Purchased 1999 Deville D'Elegance non-running but in incredible condition. Dash displays Theft System Problem - Car May Not Restart. The battery was bad so I relaced the battery. I then went the next cheapest route and had a new key made at local locksmith. Double checked, the ohms on both keys read 1.12. Still same problem. Car turns over fine, will not start. I then went to resistor bypass the vats and when I took the kick panel off a remote starter box fell onto the floor. I'm told if the car has a remote starter it has to have a vats bypass. Now, the problem....I'm no mechanic and I don't have a clue where to start. Anyone willing to try and help?
