I have a 99 SLS with 129,000 miles. No real problems except today, I pulled it out of the garage and there was a glop of green grease under the right side cv. Is it a ripped cv boot or something more serious. I haven't got under the car yet.

 

Ripped CV boot. Cheaper, quicker to replace axle with a rebuilt.
