Default Coolant overflow tank

I got the "Check Coolant Level" message today on my '00 deville. It's corroded between the overflow tank and the metal piece where my fill cap screws on and is leaking. Looks like I need a new tank. I found the part ( I think) on GMpartsdirect for $63. Can any techs tell me if what I'm looking for is the "Radiator Recovery Tank", and it's part #?
Any help is appriciated.

Why not save 63 bucks and try cleaning up the rust, dremel tool with wire wheel or even some 180 grit, then spray paint it. Stuff a rag in the opening to keep ourtdebris. Get a new "radiator recovery tank" cap. Just my suggestion.

I proably didn't explain it well. The metal "Flange" (part of the tank) that the cap screws onto seen here:

Broke loose like this:

Also, you may notice a hole in the piece that broke off. A metal fitting with a piece of rubber hose was connected here. Is this the surge tank outlet hose and fitting?

Thanks for your help!

Indeed new part time but at least we know why you are losing coolant and yes that little hole is for the overflow.

Thanks again. I wanted to make sure I got the right parts since it takes so long to get em. Also, do you think now would be a good time to do a flush? I have heard the dexcool antifreeze is somewhat corrosive and should be flushed every few years. It just turned 70k.

The mileage is not the main issue with DEXCOOL, it is the time its been in there so changing every two years is a good practice. In your case do a change now.
