confusion about 1998 cadillac catera headlights

Default confusion about 1998 cadillac catera headlights

ok supposedly the catera had a h7 bulb and is HID can anyone answer this question for me... The catera has an h7 bulb if i put an h7 hid bulb will it work.

you need a hid ballast for the hid bulbs to work. i doubt cateras are stock HID. go to sylvania.com and find out what bulb you need for the headlight for your exact car and buy the kit for less than $100 on ebay with shipping included. if you put in "HID" bulbs in the regular headlights they might be a tiny bit brighter or maybe a differnt color, but they are not really the xenon/HID. halogen brights are good enough for me, i drive with my brights all the time, just as good as HID and no messin around nessesary.

do u recommend the plasma lights .... i just want the headlights to be bright yellow an the fogs the same or the pinksh red i hear dplasma jus as bright
