2000 DTS how many steering sensors are there? I have a servce steering message on DTC. Code is for Steering Sensor. I believe the magnasteer one. Are there others? My understanding is that this is not life threatning? DTS has 131k, I just put Arnott's on the front, new outer tie rod end, new axle seal. I like the Arnott's! Easy install.

 

sounds like something didnt get hooked up properly when installed front end parts. however you also have a sps.... steering wheel position sessor in the steering column, i would think. what are the codes?

It is a C1241 code which I think is SPS. Have you done that one before? It only comes on in the morning......after I have driven about 4 miles.....If I go out at lunch......no lights........I sometimes get a 741 tranny code which does same thing......very puzzling. I have taken trips over 100 miles........no lights. I am positive that I hooked all back after front end work.....thanks for responding!

 

The DTS-MA update is available now. Have downloaded and it works fine.
