Default climate control 1991 sedan deville please help!!!!

hello everyone i just purchased my first cadillac 1991 sedan deville 135k 2 tone paint it had 2 error codes in it when i purchased it e 52 which is the battery being removed i found out and f 48 which i have no idea what this is i cleared them out and nothing has come back yet. next thing is when i purchased it it had a service air condition light on and i filled it with freon all is working now but no matter if it is cool air or heat it only blows from defrost and a little bit on the floor can you please help thanx john also air compressor for air ride i beleive is unplugged under the hood i dont know why john

after hours of work checking vacuum lines i found a odd shaped box on the firewall to the right of the blower moter bolted with 2 nuts and only 2 vacuum lines inserted into it i by passed this unit with a bypass and wala air blows out of the vents now so any one have an idea what this is and where i can get it i tried 3 auto parts stores to no avail any help would be appreciated john

Sounds like that's the vent control box...no idea what the official name is. I used to work at Autozone, and I know we sold them, might take it to them and try, if you haven't already.

What that box does is simple. You change your controls, and it uses vacuum to change which vents are open and get air. (If I'm thinking of the right thing)
