The cd player quit playing and I get a "cd error" message. It continues to try to "cycle" even when the ignition is off. I'm being told (by folks who sell aftermarket sound systems, that it will have to be replaced. Any ideas. I really do not want to buy aftermarket, but am not going to pay the big bucks for a stock Bose system from GM. Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

 

I used to get the same thing on my '95 eldorado when I 1st bought it from the original owner.I used a CD cleaner a couple of times & it stopped doing it & works fine now.
