Default Blended door problems?

One more thing about the deville I just purchased. The previous owner said that the heater didnt work right. one side there was heat and the other cold air. I know a thing or two about lincolns and seen this before with the blended door not closing allowing cold outside air to mix with the heated air. Anybody have any links to the detailed repair instructions or any tips on fixing this problem?

I have a 99 DeVille that had the same problem. Easy fix. Unbolt all the covers from the bottom of the heater, a/c under the dash. You will see 2 blend motors. You can test them by watching these motors as you operate from the highest temp to the lowest. The one that doesn't move is the culprit.Next, disconnect power from the motors and then switch them. They are the same part number. If the same one isn't working, then you know it isn't the power to the motors. I got mine at a salvage yard fot $30. Good luck.

partially pluggged heater core. flushed it 3times with a garden hose, 3rd time couldnt get my heat core return line hot with running the car. At idle, throttled it hard acouple of times and heard a thud of a clump being chewed up by the water pump. I think it was all that damm stop leak caddy dealerships think they have to throw in there after every change of fluid. I will have to flush it again to get the broken up crap out.
