Default Adding Bose trunk mount cd changer

Seeing that I`m getting good advice on this site. The other main question I have is, Can I ADD the Bose cd changer to my bose system in my `01 etc without any probs, such as theftlock and/or any additional harnesses or setup installation issues?
I contacted Bose, and they said I had to contact caddy dealer.($$)
If I buy one, say, out of a wreck, what`s the possibility of installation without and technical assistance?
Thanks again,
Mick

The multi CD player is NOT a BOSE part. It is either DELCO or Pioneer. Pioneer made the CD player for delco. You should have the harness already there and your radio should say CD on its face. Simple plug it in and go assuming you get the player with brackets and its the correct part number. The dealer can tell you the part number to look for at a wrecking yard or EBAY.

I looked on ebay a few times, and found a few.(from devilles or sts) I think they had "Delco" on front, and I didn`t think that was what I wanted, but I guess it was. Then again, I think they were 6 disk, and mine should be a 12 (?).
The one had a "matsu****a elec. corp."(spelling?) on back, who I think manufactures for Bose or Delco, I forgot. If someone has a vehicle like mine, it`d be cool if they`d jot down the model number/part no.
Thanks for info on harness should be ready for plug in.
Mick

Its simple, the parts counter man can give you the part number for the correct player. Again, BOSE does NOT make the CD player.

Drove 60 mi. round trip, bought changer at junkyard. "A1 cond., w/magazine AND INSTRUCTIONS! Powers up, but mag will not eject, and no source recognition on dash unit.
I knew things were going too good after mech. repairs solved yesterday.
30 mi. one way again to return unit for another.
At least I know I have the wiring ready to roll.
Later,
Mick

Yeah, smart people do those kinda thangs. Obviously we never met before.Just kidding(?)
No, actually I never checked under the trunk lining before I bought it because I had to get to yard b4 close. I thought it`d be harder to uncover the connector than it was.
At least I`m straight on the DELCO/PIONEER, not Bose, units available.

P.S. I was just looking into a link from this site to http://www.slrmotorsports.com/. What`s your opinion on these installs?
I`m avoidingsimilarupgradeon my `07 Harley, due to the fact that it`s not a cafe racing bike, but my caddyis a friggin` race car. (in my minds eye)
Thanks,
Mick

Hi, I have a 97 Eldorado and I was able to add the 12 disc cd changer in the trunk with no problems. The wires are behind the carpet on the passenger side near the power antenae. There is also a place to mount the cd changer under the carpet. I bought my cd changer on ebay from ebay member two-chevysand they gave me the correct bracket and they can answer all questions to be sure you receive the correct cd changer that you need. The cd changer should work with the factory radio in your car. I hope this helps!
