I just bought a 1992 cadillac sedan deville, my first cadillac, and i am not able to activate the security system. I read through the owners manual on exactly what steps to take and how to verify that it is actually working and it doesn't. After I lock my doors using the keyless entry, then shut my drivers side door the security light does not shut off and the security system does not activate. The only thing i can tell that doesn't work besides that is the trunk does not open with the keyless entry, only by key. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where i should go from here.
