AC compressor bypass
1999 Eldorado ETC
Had rubber smelling white smoke coming from the ac compressor area and assumed my compressor seized up and my belt was burning, took the belt off and it was fine, maybe the seal or some other rubber item was burning. I got a shorter (73-1/2") belt and rerouted it around the compressor, I pulled the ac relay but left the ac fuse as it ran the radiator fans. Does anyone know if its alright to run it this way.
Thanks curt
Since I've had no response I was wondering if I posted this question in the wrong area or made some other esoteric faux pas that I am unaware of
