Default RE: 96 STS hood Insulation

Hey vette: Depends if you want to use and oem part. I have run across a really neat product called EZ Cool, it can be used under hoods, firewalls, trunks, etc. It is a closed cell foam coreproduct with fiberglass reinforced aluminum on both sides. It is easy to cut and fit and looks way more cool than standard insulation. Nascar uses it too. The material reflects temps. of 900 degrees, absorbs no moisture and deadens sound and vibration. The roll which is 4ft by 10ft run me about $60.00. Check with your local jobber to see if they handle it. By the way it is only 1/4' thick and 1 oz. per sq. ft......................
