Default '96 Deville "Service Fuel System"

I just installed a very basic alarm in my '96 Deville. I put everything back together and tried the alarm. Everything worked great. Then I go to start the car and it just keeps cranking. It won't start. The DIC says "check fuel system". I did not wire any wires to anything fuel related nor did I wire any type of starter kill. I was very careful around any other wires. I disconnected the alarm completely and tried it, nothing. I disconnected the battery to clear the computer, then tried it, nothing. I haven't had any problems whatsoever with it starting until now. Is there anyway I could troubleshoot what the problem is? Do I need a code reader? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, -Mark

Figured it out. It was the fuel pump relay. It was loose and corroted. Works great now.

Default 97 Cadillac Seville - Service Fuel System Message

I was driving my 1997 Cadillac Seville and all of a sudden in turned off and a message pops up saying 'Service Fuel System'. I tried to turn on the card after that and it sounds like its turning on but it doesn't. I changed the fuel pump 1.5yrs ago so I doubt that is the issue. What can I do? Also the fuel pump fuse is good but I am not sure how I can check if the fuel pump relay fuse is fine. Any ideas? I don't have money to take to a mechanic. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
