96 Deville "Service Fuel System" will not start.

96 Deville "Service Fuel System" will not start.
After installation of new Alternator, engine cranks just fine but will not start. "Service fuel system" Messege on. Gave it a shot of starter fluid, ran for a few seconds and quit. Had no fuel problem before changing the alternater. Where do I start? Voltage @ injectors? Relay?
